As someone who has been a client as well as a clinician, I can appreciate and respect the courage it takes to seek help for our emotional, relational, and spiritual struggles in life. My practice specializes in treating individuals and couples in way that that respects and values the uniqueness of each client, acknowledges the spiritual nature of all people, and seeks to empower them with the skills and hope to manage their own lives in the most effective way possible.

Prior to starting Recovering Hope Counseling in 2017, I had been working as a therapist

since 2012, helping couples, individuals, and groups with relationship, addiction, and mental health problems, including anxiety and depression, grief and loss, dual diagnosis (co- occurring mental health and addictive disorders), personality disorders, and other problems in living.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of South Carolina. In addition to being a Certified Hope and Freedom Practitioner, I am also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) through the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals (IITAP).

While I am trained and experienced in using multiple therapeutic approaches, I have also completed Levels 1 and 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy, trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and trained in Brainspotting Trauma Therapy. I am a Facilitator with Prepare and Enrich, working with premarital and married couples to provide assessment and enrichment for their relationship.
